  • Invited to participate in Annenberg seminars, programming, and events
  • Eligible to apply for Annenberg doctoral research funding
  • Access to Annenberg professional development programming and supports


  • Participate actively in the broader Annenberg community (e.g., attending relevant lectures, meeting with interested students, speakers, or post-docs, etc.).  
  • Affiliates who receive grant funding have specific expectations

Apply to be an Annenberg Doctoral Student

Brown doctoral students involved in research or teaching related to education are encouraged to apply for affiliation. Affiliates are featured on the Annenberg Institute website, included in communications efforts (including events and programming), and gain visibility for their work related to education research and practice. Interest forms are reviewed on a rolling basis.
