Doctoral Student Affiliate
Alejandro "Alex" Contreras is a Ph.D. student in the Political Science department and a Master's student in the Data Science Institute. Prior to attending Brown University, Alex Contreras completed undergraduate studies along with a Master's in Public Administration at San Diego State University, where his capstone project focused on measures to address food insecurity at local community colleges. At Brown, Alex's primary work focuses on the various ways that housing and politics intersect in the U.S. context. Included in this research agenda is work on how housing and geographic spaces impact education politics and policy.
