Orlando Bravo Assistant Professor of Economics
Matt Pecenco is a labor economist, focusing on topics related to the criminal justice system, education, and development. In particular, Matt has made use of quasi- or fully experimental government policies to study the effects of incarceration, peer preferences in education choices, and the role of experience in generating entrepreneurship. He received his PhD from UC Berkeley in 2020.
