Senior Research Associate
Kate Larned is a Senior Research Associate at the Annenberg Institute at Brown University, where she conducts research on teacher professional learning. As a part of The Research Partnership for Professional Learning, her research aims to advance educational equity and improve student classroom experiences, well-being, and academic growth by better understanding how to support teacher learning and development. Prior to joining Annenberg, she earned her Ph.D. in Education Policy and Program Evaluation at Harvard University, where she was an IES Partnering in Education Research Fellow, and worked as a quantitative research analyst at the Center for Education Policy Research. She began her career as a high school math teacher in Central Falls, Rhode Island. She holds an A.M. in Urban Education Policy from Brown University and a B.A. in economics from Macalester College.
