Cassia Caruth

Research Associate

Cassia Caruth is a Research Associate on the Rhode Island Education Research Initiatives team. Her analytical work focuses on in and out-of-school time programs aimed at enhancing student outcomes, and curriculum-based professional learning with a focus on supporting diverse learners. 

From teaching elementary students to conducting research with parents, her career has been marked by a commitment to developmental equity, data-driven decision-making, and partnership with caregivers and communities. 

She holds a B.A. in Linguistics from Duke University and an Ed.M. in Human Development and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In her free time, she enjoys cooking Trinbagonian food and chipping away at her paint by number - it’s riddled with tiny sections!
