Economics
Bruno Cardinale Lagomarsino is a PhD student in the Department of Economics at Brown University with research interests in applied microeconomics and labor economics. His current projects highlight the role of institutions as levers for economic progress: focusing on the determinants of earnings, he seeks to understand how institutions such as military conscription, Catholic radio schools, and labor unions mediate access to education, employment, and social mobility.
Bruno has previously been affiliated with the Watson School for International and Public Affairs as a graduate student trainee. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked as a predoctoral research fellow at Harvard Business School and the Inter-American Development Bank. He completed his undergraduate studies at Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina.
