The Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) educates over 345,000 students in 392 schools and is the fourth largest school district in the nation. The school district staffs over 40,000 employees, including teachers, administrators, paraeducators, and school and central office staff.
As part of M-DCPS’ Vision 20/20, the district aims to center its work around five pillars. The central pillar — Relevant, Rigorous, and Innovative Academics — will be supported by four other pillars: Highly Effective Teachers, Leaders and Staff; Safe, Healthy, and Supportive Learning Environment; Informed, Engaged and Empowered Stakeholders; and Effective and Sustainable Business Practices.
