COVID-19 has had a profound effect on K-12 education. Nearly all schools across the nation closed for the remainder of the school year, while educators and administrators quickly made changes to providing instruction virtually. Many state and local governments have shifted their education priorities to respond to the rapidly evolving developments related to the current pandemic.
As we continue to deal with the effects of this pandemic, what happens to the existing and developing efforts to recruit, prepare, and support educators of color? Are the voices of teachers and aspiring teachers of color part of the conversation of “reimagining” education in a post-COVID-19 world?
Join the Equity Institute, Annenberg Institute, Latino Policy Institute, and TeachPlus RI, for a conversation on how we continue creating opportunities for educators of color as well as amplifying their voices in this critical moment.
