The EdExchange unifies three key initiatives—EdInstruments, EdWorkingPapers, and EdResearchforAction—to make it easier to access, interpret, and apply education research. The EdExchange aims to create a collaborative ecosystem for school improvement where researchers, policymakers, and practitioners work together to better define needs, generate evidence, and make meaning across a common body of knowledge.
Educational Opportunity in Massachusetts is a long-standing research-practice partnership between Annenberg researchers and the Massachusetts Departments of Elementary and Secondary Education and Higher Education. Our work analyzes how students progress to and through the state's K-16 education system and into the workforce, with a specific focus on providing evidence to inform policy and practice in the Commonwealth.
Evidence in Action - RI drives system level improvement in education in Rhode Island through a dual approach of evidence-based implementation and rigorous policy research. We work with RI educators at the state, district and school levels in long-term research-practice partnerships to tackle key questions - from stabilizing the teacher workforce and reforming the school funding system to improving math instruction, and student mental health.
The Race and Education Research Initiative at the Annenberg Institute provides a space to rethink how we interrogate race and education, and generates rigorous scholarship on the relationship among race, educational policy, and organizational practices. Through community engagement research and innovative, practice-based efforts, this initiative studies racial inequity in education and provides research-based approaches to expanding educational opportunity.
We are dedicated to research across all stages of postsecondary education and training, including access, persistence, completion, and transition to the workforce. By exploring these and other critical areas, we identify effective strategies, inform best practices, and advance equity in education and training.
Originally founded by professional learning organizations and researchers at the Annenberg Institute, the Research Partnership for Professional Learning (RPPL) is a collaborative network of researchers, professional learning organizations, and education stakeholders working to improve teaching and learning through evidence-based professional development. By bringing together a broad network and shared research agenda, RPPL aims to scale high-quality professional learning and advance educational equity across schools and systems.
The Sustainable Education Research Initiative (SustainableED) is a national hub for research at the intersection of education policy and climate change.
