SustainableED is excited to host a one-day conference on research that examines the relationship between education systems, the environment, and our changing climate.

 

Call for Abstracts

 

We are soliciting abstracts for brief presentations of original research that we will group thematically into lightning round sessions.

You can submit your work for consideration here.

Review of submissions will begin January 20th and continue until all slots are filled.

About the Event

This conference will convene academic researchers across a range of disciplines along with practitioners, non-profit organizers, and policymakers to generate policy-relevant insights from research. Sessions will include a keynote presentation from SustainableED Senior Fellow Laura Schifter, research lightning rounds held throughout the day, breakout sessions for cross-industry conversation, and plenty of opportunities for networking. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Conference topics will include:

  • Creating more resilient and sustainable schools
  • How climate change impacts school infrastructure & operations, students, and teachers
  • Climate literacy and environmental education 
  • Career and Technical Education for green jobs
  • Schools as hubs for climate solutions
