The Annenberg Institute is seeking a postdoctoral research associate for a two‐year fellowship (one-year renewable) to join a diverse community of scholars committed to educational equity and improvement. The post-doctoral associate will participate in collaborative research activities with our affiliated faculty, including Jesse Bruhn, John B. Diamond, Matthew Kraft, Nathaniel Schwartz, Lindsay Page, John Papay and others, on issues related to US PK-16 education policy. In addition, they will be part of the broader Annenberg Institute community including faculty and students at Brown University, visiting faculty and students, and other postdoctoral fellows.
Candidates should have a PhD in Education, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field by the beginning of the postdoctoral fellowship. Candidates should have strong substantive expertise in PK-16 education policy and strong quantitative research skills. Applications with a record of successful publication and with project management skills are preferred.
Review of applications will begin immediately. Applications received by December 1, 2022 will be considered preferentially, but the search will remain open until filled. To be considered for this position please submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, two examples of scholarly work, and arrange to have three confidential letters of recommendation submitted via Interfolio. In their letter, candidates should describe their research interests, accomplishments to date, and future goals, and address their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
