Saloni Gupta

Saloni Gupta is an Assistant Professor in Brown's Education Department. Her research uses large-scale field experiments to study how education innovations — including AI and technology-aided instruction — can improve learning outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. Current projects include randomized evaluations of innovation training in Indian schools, personalized adaptive learning at scale, and higher-order skills development for first-generation women engineers in India. Dr. Gupta teach courses on the economics of education at both the undergraduate and master's levels, as well as a new course on education innovation, entrepreneurship, and scale.
